The plantains used for our banana chips come from the Philippines.

Banana chips are chips made from plantains. These are 30 to 40 cm long. The unripe plantains are cut into finger-thick slices, sprinkled with salt or not, and fried in frying oil. The chips are then dried, and preservatives may be added.

Banana chips are crunchy and have a sweet flavour. There are also banana chips with a layer of sugar or chocolate. The chips are often used in muesli and crunchy granola and are sometimes added to nut mixes as well.
